Subject: Earn more for your writing! |
Here’s the problem:
you want to break into writing and become a published fiction
writer. But because you’re an unknown, publishers won’t touch you.
Or it could be that you’re already writing
non-fiction, but for
unbelievably low rates, like $5 or $10 per article? Or worse still, for
free.
That’s not the way it’s meant to be! Good
writers should be appropriately remunerated for their efforts.
What most
novice writers don’t realise
is that
non-fiction writing is the
easiest of all to crack
February 2003, I was barely published.
Following six bouts of debilitating pneumonia (in a period of eight
months) – due to a serious lung
condition - I had to reassess my entire life.
My doctors wouldn’t let me return to
my
day-job, and I literally had to turn my life around or risk death. That
meant changing my entire life-style, including my occupation.
I brainstormed ideas to earn money from
home, and writing came up trumps.
Despite my previous efforts, I was
barely a drop in the ocean in the writing world, and found it difficult to
get published… until I changed my entire outlook and aimed for
non-fiction magazine writing.
May 2003 I was
accepted for an ongoing column by a magazine in the US. That acceptance
pushed my writing career into a spin. One that still continues today.
Not only did this bring desperately needed
funds into the household (I’d been off work for six months at this stage),
but it boosted my fiction writing career as well.
Writing for Profit: Break into Magazines takes you step by step through the process
I followed to break into the non-fiction arena.
Using my customary conversational and easy
to understand style, I will teach you:
A simple but
effective way to brainstorm ideas
An easy way
to outline your articles
Submitting –
making it quick, easy, and cost effective
Finding
markets that pay
How and why
you should invest in yourself
Why you
shouldn’t buy magazines for research and the process I use
instead
What not to
do when dealing with editors (this alone could literally make or break your
career)
The simple
technique I used to quadruple my acceptance rate – and you can do it
too!
How to earn
additional income without much effort
A unique way
to find ideas - and it won't cost a cent!
How to keep
the money flowing into your bank account
Turning
invoices into cash
Understanding the critical aspects of your writing business
Free tools
to help your writing business
The above list gives a brief overview of
the topics discussed in this sixty-one page report.

I really like your
new book. It simplifies the whole process of writing
for magazines and makes it all seem very do-able. I
love that you've given all the insider tactics
you've used - and that you've proved to me once and
for all that the traditional advice given to article
writers is completely wrong. Like you, I used to
'follow the rules' and submit to magazines without
getting very far. Now I know why!
I wish you'd
written this book years ago, so that I could have
learned from your success. What you say makes
perfect sense and if writers want to make good money
from writing magazine articles, your book is a
'must-have'. Well done, Cheryl.

Cheryl, I just wanted to say how
amazing your new book is.
I’ve been writing for magazines
for years now but you still had quite a few things
to teach me. The bonus book of magazine markets was
just what I needed too. Now I’ve got so many new
ideas to try and writing avenues to explore that it
will keep me in work for years.

It also includes exercises to boost your
learning, and includes samples of invoices, forms, and other essentials
items you will need as a freelance magazine writer.
Sample query letters are also included,
(with explanations for each) and Because every publication is different,
you'll learn how to customise them
to suit the target publication.
Write for medium to high
paying magazines, commanding hundreds of dollars
per thousand words.
Don’t be fooled by other how-to books. You
won’t start off writing for thousands of dollars per assignment straight
away.
Like every other form of writing, and
every other job in the world, you have to start at the bottom, and climb
that proverbial ladder.
But it is within the reach of every good
writer, provided you're willing to learn, and put in some hard yakka.
This book has been a real eye-opener to
many writers. You’ll
finally learn the truth about non-fiction writing, and how to make
consistent money writing for magazines. You won’t get lies or half-baked
truths. The real story is finally revealed, and you can learn – and earn –
from it.

I
have just skimmed "Writing for profit" and it is
everything I hoped it would be. It will be
fantastically useful (as will the other items
included).
David Grugeon, www.MyDearFriend.net |
It doesn’t matter if you have no idea how
to write non-fiction. Five years ago I'd only written a handful
of non-fiction articles.
If you can write a cohesive letter, or
draft an explanatory email, then you can write non-fiction! (Writing is
definitely something that can be learned.)
The biggest drawback for most writers is
the fact they don’t know where to start, or what the concepts are. This book
takes all the mystery away.
And when the mystery is gone, so is the
fear of trying something new.
